Awhile back, I bought several bars of this stuff advertised as pure tin. When I used it to make 1-20 alloy, it melted fine and mixed well with the pure lead. The temp never got over 800* F.
The first time I used the alloy to cast boolits, I had the PID set to 750*F and the spout kept freezing up I raised the temperature gradually to 850*F and still freezing up. at that point, I quit!
