Been using the 220 gr FN Hot Cor in my BLR 358 Win for 20 years. This rifle prefers them marginally to the Nosler Partition (a bullet I have also used with great success in many other rifles over the years). Has accounted for moose, bear and elk over the years with great results. I won't hesitate to use this bullet in medium performance cartridges (might not be my first choice in magnums).
Have them for the 35 Rem (180 gr) and 338 Federal (200 gr) too; just need to work up some loads.
And yes, since ATK owns Speer and Federal, they have been loading the Hot Cor's in many factory ammo offerings for years. The Fusion bullet is also made by Speer and loaded in Federal's Fusion ammo. They label it the Deep Curl for selling as a bullet to load yourself. While perhaps not the most accurate bullet, I have not seen or heard of a rifle that will not shoot that bullet at least acceptably well, while some rifles do very well with it.
Of the premium bullets, the AccuBond has become my favourite bullet overall; it is the easiest to work up a load for in every rifle I have to date, ranging from 257 caliber to 375. It has also proven to be the most consistently accurate bullet in every rifle and cartridge I have loaded it in. And its on-game performance has been excellent (caveat being when I do my part! LOL). And the Nosler Partition has been a steadfast performer for years and has it earned in enviable reputation for on-game performance. As has the Swift A-Frame.
As with anything; use the right tool for the job and you will receive better performance results. No one item does everything well.
