What is your #1 10/22 upgrade?

I have the banana mag and like it.
I don't understand what difference an extractor makes(unless you're getting stovepipes). My stock extractor works fine.

I'd upgrade a 10/22 with a Remington 597 
everything should be tossed in the garbage and replaced with Kidd parts.....just kidding. that's just how I feel with the lemon I got
1. bolt release mod
2. bolt buffer
3. extractor upgrade
4. extended mag release if you have the old 10/22
I find the first three to be mandatory upgrades to any 10/22 and I don't know why Ruger doesn't do these from the factory to begin with
it only took 50 years for Ruger to put an extended mag release on it. and Bill Ruger had to die for the BX-25 to happen

I (mercifully) don't have extractor issues, so no worries there. I put in a $40 Volquartzen hammer and it made my trigger pull crisp and light!
That's the route I went, except I skipped the 10/22 step and went straight to the CZ.I was gonna say sell it and get a CZ.
A good thread though; I will probably get a semi- sometime soon.
