What is your brand loyalty and why?

I've inadvertently become a Browning o/u fan. I love my Citori's, and they work really well for me.

I'm a Tikka fanboy, and therefore a Sako one as well (if I have extra cash just laying around).

In my limited experience I am also become a big ATRS fan as well. You're likely not getting a smokin' deal, but you're getting a very high quality product, and support to back it up. In my world, there are times when paying a little extra for piece of mind is worth it.

I'm also a fan of Mystic Precision. Jerry's a good man that preaches what he practices, and works to advance the game as he can.

If I was in the business of protectin' others from folks tryin' to kill 'em (or me) - I'd wear a Glock.

I began with Winchesters, but after a while it spread to other brands, and military rifles. Now there is no direction or hope.....

I can't say that i am brand loyal as much as I avoid certain brands - namely Norinco. With the exception of their M14s, I refuse to buy a Norinco. I also don't buy Mossberg or Savage although I have owned a Savage thrice which were picked up in trades. I used to also avoid Ruger as well but I have changed my tune with them.

I own one or more of most brands and have alot of good to say about most. My go to rifles are Sako's... Anything from the heavy M995 to the 85 Finnlite's. And yes, I also have a Glock 10mm auto which I like too :)

I've got guns from Canada, USA, China, Japan, Germany, England, Brasil, Turkey, Belgium, Russia, Italy and maybe more? They all serve their purposes. Bolts, semis, SXS, OU, lever, single shot...I like them all for different reasons. I prefer a CRF with a tuned trigger for big game hunting but I've used most styles at one point.

After owning many different brands including Sako, Remington, Tikka, Browning, Breda, Brno, Sauer, Mossberg, Winchester, Ruger, Weatherby, Marlin, Savage, I have settled on Blaser because the stock fits me perfectly and I can change calibers/scopes quickly. For a semi I still enjoy my Benelli R1 and SBE2 and for a 22 I love my Magnum Research

Winchester 12g shells and Hornady factory rifle ammo. No idea why!

TIKKA / SAKO / REM / MOSSBERG.

MEH! I ain't that experienced in firearms to pic a fav. If I had unlimited $$$.

Rifles built on M98 actions, Tikka T3, and Remington 870 (only).
...and a variety of Russian, Swiss, and English made milsurps.
Glass made by Leupold

Why? They all work well, are consistently accurate, and they don't break!

All the rest, regardless of pedigree or cost, you can have. I've had many many others, and I was largely unimpressed.

No longer in my locker, but honourable mention to Brno, CZ, and Sako.

I am not really brand loyal, but I have preferences depending on the intended use of the firearm. There are certain brands like Savage , Mossberg and Norinco that I avoid. I like Browning shotguns, but I avoid their A-bolt and X-bolt. I like the Weatherby Vanguard, but I avoid the Mark V. I like Cooper rimfires and small caliber varmint chamberings, but I don't have any for big game hunting. I like Tikka for target and varmint rifles, but not for big game rifles. I like certain Sako models, but I won't own a Finnlight. I avoid certain chamberings like the 270win, and 30-06 regardless of the make or model. I found a very nice full stock Heym rifle at a gun show, and the price was attractive, but it was chambered in 270win, so I never really considered purchasing it.

I agree here, even if i own 6 Steyr Mannlicher rifles, i always refuse to buy one in 270 or 30-06, i have no interest for those dull calibers... JP.

But you DID buy a 30-06 last year, right?
Anyone, I do not like anything out of 30-06 and its siblings either.

I often buy rifles for friends and family and they choose their caliber, i have one vintage 1903A4 in 30-06 more for the model than the caliber... JP.

I am still unabashedly a Remington 700 Fan. I do prefer certain models [Classics & CDL's]
Just purchased another 700, but it was built in 1973, so a real quality 700.

That being said, I am not absolutely stuck on them, either.

In my safes reside Ruger 77's & a number 1; Several commercial Mausers; a Husqvarna; 4 Vanguards; a Winchester; one Savage [wears a 40x barrel, though]
2 - P14's [one is a 303 Epps] a Ross rifle in 303; singles of other makes.
There are many great rifles out there, and, not being an independently wealthy person, I shy away from most very expensive [and often complicated] European imports.

If I decide to build a custom rifle, it will most often be a 700 action that gets the nod. I particularly like the length of the LA 700 magazine.

I have an old "flat bolt" Ruger 77 that wears a Shilen, chambered in 6mm Remington, and a 721 Remington with a Lothar-Walther chambered 6.5x55AI.

I believe that firearms owners, as a group, tend to be quite opinionated, and that may not be such a bad thing. :)

Regards, Dave.

When I 1st started buying guns I had a lot of Remington's including a pump in rifle, 22, and shotgun which pretty much all had the same stock dimensions and feel to them. I have no real brand loyalty today per-say, If I like the gun I buy it, but that been said if you look you would find more Rugers then anything else now, at least in rifles. The easy part is what you won't find in my safe is a Savage anything unless it is a Model 99 which I would buy another one of and wish they still made them. Currently have Browning, Sako, and Rugers with 1 Remington that actually belongs to my wife so not sure if I should count it.
