what is your fave Cal in a Revolver?????

.45 "Long Colt" DOES NOT EXIST!!!!! The Cartridge is .45 Colt. That being said, .45 Colt is my favourite.

Well, it sort of does Dustin. It was a way to differentiate between the two martial 45's available at the time, the shorter 45 S&W, or the slightly longer 45 Colt. Sort of fell into common usage, even though it really isn't an actual caliber designation. - dan

For just plain shooting I like the 44 Special and 38 Special. For self defense I opt for a 45acp. If push came to shove I would take the 45acp for an all purpose round for me as I live in an Urban area. Regards, Richard

I relaod and a box of jacketed ammo costs me as little or less than a box of 9mm factory and with a ported barrrel it's a quite a fireworks show...

.357 for me too. My .44 Mag is just too much of a hand-punisher (with full house loads) to enjoyably shoot for any length of time. Yes, I use lighter loads sometimes, but somehow that feels like cheating.

The one that I turn to is my 7.5" Ruger Super Redhawk 454 Casull.

We just had our annual pumpkin shoot at the club.

One 240gr XTP @ 1900fps @ 25 yards evaporates pumpkins.....

Heard of .45 AR? That's .45 Auto-Rim BTW...made specifically for revolvers chambered in .45ACP...
