What is your favorite chassis system? Pro's, con's? Or are you a basic stock guy/gal?

I can see how that would come into play. My Savage was only a .308, but between the weight of it, and muzzle brake there was next to no recoil and very controllable. I took my girlfriend shooting with it (it was her first time shooting, and she is about 5'3" 110 lbs) and she handled it quite well (well, minus actually moving the rifle around lol).

If I wasn't concerned about weight on my build, I would probably have gone with either the TAC21 or the XLR (not that they are super heavy) as that is about the upper limit of my budget at this point. Certainly other options though.

Right on - very good to know. I am aiming for heavier rather than carry-able - which is totally backwards to what most people do :) I think my budget will likely point me to the AICS - but Skullboy has offered to let me shoot his Tac-21 - so I might be swayed that way.

my favorite yet is this one

pros: did not cost much to make

cons: many hours of fun

if I have time this winter, I have something else very diferent is mind

The Cadex is nice, but IMO not 3X the price nice...............The MDT TAC-21 is $699.99 and the Cadex is $2099.99.............You can't beat the TAC-21 for value....... ;)

My rifle shoots just as well with the TAC-21 as it did when I had it in an AICS .............As I mentioned in my last post, the big difference was how the rifle recoiled..........
One thing to remember about the MDT chassis is that 699$ only gets you a few key parts , you still have to get a stock , now you can get a cheap one but most of us would probably want the prs , I know I do ! Then a buffer tube , magazine , and pistol grip , so that 699$ soon turns into ( I'm guessing on price here ) 1100-1200$ ish . To me that's still ok , I am a fan of MDT , but when you add it up , it puts you in the AICS territory wich as far as I know ready to go .

What makes an aics better than a stock rem 700 police and is there a real world difference on shooting performance or its just the cool factor?

You are right, that price is for the bare bones chassis. When figure in everything else, it's no cheaper than any other of the comparible chassis.

I can only speak for my preference with the Tac21, XLR, Savage 10 ba and AICS.
Of them all, I like the XLR the best. Only thing I would have added is the folder option. Easier for cleaning the barrel.
