What is your last ditch rifle....

After much consideration I'd have to go with my LMT AR for the rifle and I'd sacrifice optics and grips for a

If they happen to have with them an aimpoint and a 1911 I'm not tellin anyone.

2 equally good choices for me.

Choice A: LMT Piston Carbine, accessories: TR33R8 mini ACOG and an aimpoint M4...both have quick detach mountings on them.

Choice B: Swissarms 14.3" Carbine, with aimpoint M4.

Choice A is slightly ahead due to parts availability, Choice B on the other hand is just tougher!!!

CZ-858-2 with no crap added. I could use my black rifle also, but I would hate having to connect with a zombie hiding behind a car and not being able to because of the caliber I'm using. :)

If it's a last ditch weapon for the apocalypse, it needs to be simple and easy to maintain, require no spare parts that can't be made with a hand file and a scrap of steel and be reliable.

Probably I'd choose an SMLE or an SKS, or if available, a milled AK47. No optics as they break or get dirty.

FN P90 with an EoTech... along with a couple cases of unobtanium (aka ss-190 ammo) ;-)

Fits disassembled in a knapsack - weighs next to nothing, and uses simple blowback as function...

SKS with a Chinese bandolier, those fragile poodle shooters will stop working in a few days out in the bush.

In an absolutely extreme situation, anything that I could get my hands on.
Otherwise, I would just go to the lockup in my bugout semi trailer, and select whatever would be appropriate.

Well, I guess it depends..... They are all tools for the job......
If it was one for the "zombies" in my house? It would be the Fabarm or benelli Shotty. With a sure fire light on it.

If I needed a lil more distance prolly my M4gery with my ElcanDR (Which some one ask how it is..... answer..... great...... cept for the limited eye relief..... but great glass)
