What is your 'Last' pistol going to be?

bought a pair of 1851's last month, still waiting on transfer (ont) and today a pair a 1873's. trying to get set up for cowboy which I was putting off until retirement but now running wildly to find some half decent pistols...

Desert Eagle .357 in polished chrome. Didn't want the .44 or .50; .357 recoil will be more than enough for me. Stupid final hurrah. Kind of regret it, kind of looking forward to it. Resisted the urge for months. Was glad when they were all sold out so the temptation was removed. Then a .357 showed up unexpectedly and randomly at True North Arms. I justified it because I have a .357 revolver coming as well, so they can share the same ammo. That's it. I'm done. Just need to sit back and wait until the government's "phase two" begins and they prohibit handguns completely.

I may have lied earlier when I said the only thing I’d buy is a G17 MOS. If classic Python & SAA prices keep dropping at the current rate I may grab one of each in a few weeks.

Turns out the last pistol I bought was actually a Colt 1903 pocket hammerless .32ACP 12(6) prohib!

So, unless I find something to pique my interest between now & supposedly when we can't, that'll be it! :bangHead:

NAA.

I had this pistol long ago before the 12(6) I sent it back to the dealer whom I had bought it from. Apparently this slide took a huge chunk out of my hand and It had it no beaver tail to stop the hand from sliding on the slide never again will this happen to me due to a poorly designed handgun that colt made. No sooner I surrendered this gun two weeks the 12(6) came into effect and I lost my possible Grandfather status. Small guns like this are nice but I have big mitts and I couldn't justify having guns that server no shooting value for me.

Well I have to update. Unbelievably my last handgun may now be a .45 hi-point of all things. It's almost embarassing...!

A gun is a gun. You can always buy another one! I saw a video online where someone shoots a bullet through it, and they keep shooting, so I guess they are reliable.

I have room in the budget for one more handgun. I love the feel of my SP-01 Shadow and was thinking of another heavy all metal gun. Hopefully either a 92FS or Sig 320 or TS2...although I have never held a Sig 320. They're supposed to be super versatile and interchangeable (e.g. 10mm, 9mm, etc).

Looks like it's going to be the Desert Eagle 50. Unless I find a magnum revolver that I can't say no to.

I have never held / used a high end SIG P320 but I have owned two regular P320s (one with iron sights & one with red dot).

Maybe the higher end P320 models are better (some accomplished shooters on here prefer them) but for me it would be a CZ hands down. Better feel, better trigger (with work the DA gets pretty decent and the SA is excellent - much better that the P320) and a great all round gun with lots of aftermarket parts / support.

CZ cant change caliber like the SIG though so if that is a consideration.........

Looks like it will be the Taurus 840SS for me. Ordered back on June 8, who knows when I'll get it, or the 3 others from June 2 for that matter. After the first 3 I said I was done unless an HK45 or something halfway decent for under $600 came around, no HK but the Taurus popped up on CGN.

I was lucky to find a Jericho 941 and a CZ 75 BD at reasonable prices. Both were on my bucket list.

Now I just need to find a reasonably priced SIG P226 to scratch my final itch... Too bad I sold a P226 Legion RXP for relatively peanuts just before the C21 announcement. I wanna kick myself for selling it...

Ruger single 10 came in yesterday, good used little plinket from my first EE purchase.

The colt gold cup national match showed up today, I figured I’d check the mail and there was a parcel key……stopped my breath, wasn’t expecting it!
