What is your main use of your M14 (or clone)?

I'm curious to see what everyone's MAIN use of their M14/M1A/M305 is.

I've ordered one from Marstar and plan to use it mainly for hunting deer and elk in the foothills of Southern Alberta.

I don't have a main use, as I enjoy using it for many activities, both on the range and in the bush. The M-14 is an amazing rifle, classic and flexible in its design and usage.

Ditto, and as a practical base for my gunsmithing knowledge. Besides, like any gun just understanding how the engineers solved practical problems is reason enough.

Mine don't get used as much anymore, I go to the bolt guns more often, more accuracy, easier to clean, easier on brass and not as finicky. Seems they are quickly becoming safe queens.

I'd have to say hunting and the occasional range session, since I can't use it for off range plinking thanks to NB's stupid caliber restrictions outside of deer and bear seasons.
