What is your most recent rifle purchase?

Not a "purchase" but a new acquisition just the same . An old Family friend/hunting partner of my dad passed on and bequeathed his guns to me. An Ithica pump that is "as new" and the highlight... a Huskvarna 30-06 that serials to 1959 that I know is responsible for putting many many elk and moose meals on my plate when I was a kid...and it still shoots an inch at 100.
 
I am one of those anal people who faithfully squirrels away a little money every month so when the "right" rifle comes along I can buy it without affecting our bank account. The Boss appreciates it, and doesn't give me any grief for indulging in my hobby when I show up with that idiot grin on my face saying "Look what I just bought dear!!" LOL

Very recently the "right" rifle came up and I bought it. Really looking forward to shooting it.

1997 Browning BPR in .243 Winchester in excellent condition. Thanks Wayne!

Last rifle I bought was an SKS. Figure I ought to tuck one into the safe considering the times. Last hunting rifle I bought was a 700 Mountain SS in 7mm08.
 
this is cabelas ever ships it.... over a week still haven't even taken my money.. Just confirmed... If it ever shows, yotes ! BEWARE !

Ok.... So just to recap...... You describe yourself as "heavy on the lovely", and you have pics in your photobucket of Fred savage and Pierce Brosnan... (Not that there is anything wrong with that)..... :)

But.... I think the above calls for a pic of last year's moose.... Just saying... (One of my fave CGN pics).....

The baseline requirement was "separate tents," or so I am told... but you wouldn't be the first to succumb to my oversized loveliness. ..
 
Haven't bought anything lately. Last rifle purchase was a Ruger 77 in .350 Rem Mag here in the EE. Thanks again to the seller (not sure if he wants me to mention his name in the thread).

Been picking up slings, rings, sights and such. Bought some Breneke 20 ga slugs just now.

I just bought a Howa 1500 Hunter with the classic wood stock.
6.5X55 caliber. Came with a Sterling Niko scope.
Excellent shooter and nice to look at.
