What is your most recent rifle purchase?

I just added a M700 in 8mm Remington Magnum to the fold. I'll report more once it arrives.

Have been wanting one of these for some time. I'll bet the 200 Accubond will be a hammer! Dave.

I'm thinking that you don't have a single "natural" tooth left in your mouth, am I right? All falsies, upper & lowers?

I just bought something I have never heard of. It's a Norinco Mauser action in .308 Win . It was apparently made by another company (Xyan) and imported by Norinco. So, short answer to the OP's question, no idea.

Dont want to alarm or want you to go crazy about that but i read somewhere that one of those blew up in the face of the owner! Be safe.

I heard that one can really rattle the dental work!

NAA.

I've also heard that they are not exactly a "maiden's caress" But I have and shoot a fairly light 338 Win Mag...could this be much worse?

You are fairly close, lol. I have worn a full upper denture since I was 22 years old. However, I have most of my bottoms yet.
Never had a lot of issues with recoil.

Regards, Dave.

A case full of RL25 and the Sierra 220gr is your friend with the big 8. Owned three of them and recoil isn't that bad. Just hold down the forearm ;)

2015-11-04 Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk. 1 "Surrey" N .303 British Bolt Action Rifle OGC Round Count: 34 4 38

I bought a Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk. 1 so that my youngest brother could hunt deer with my middle brother and I this fall. I paid $150 for it, not a bad deal considering the Bushnell Scopechief 3-9x32 that came with it. The chamber is huge which makes the brass worthless after, but I don't think that matters much. It's pretty accurate as well.

just bought mself a savage walking varminter in 22 hornet! local gun store had a pretty sweet deal! wife told me she wanted to buy a gun for me, for Christmas! the catch was I had to pick it out myself, haha. mounted a leupold vxII 3-9 x33 lightweight that I had sitting on the shelf now for a few years. now to get out there to pop a few critters.

That inspires confidence. :) I will continue to attempt research on this rifle and, once it arrives, will give it a good look. It may end up being a light handloads only rifle or a wall hanger.

If anyone has any info on this I'd appreciate it. Not to hijack the OP's thread.....

Just bought a Remmy M700 SPS .243 for $549 from Cabelas dot ca in Wpg. Entire bill including taxes and mailing was around $650. Clean barrel, no sights, no scope rings or bases. I've got spares of all the things I need.

I have some loose .243 Winnie HP loads from Cambodian Tire (over 20 cartridges) and I'll use them for potential coyote hunts this winter. Once I run out of the .243 factory loads, it's gonna be time to remove and sell that .243 barrel and replace it with a .260 barrel that's been gathering dust. Besides, I need to see how this factory .243 barrel shoots. :)

Cheers,
Barney

Just got a rem 7600 in 243 and a win mod 70 in 308. Don't need the win 70 so going to sell it. Doggone package deals.

I've always mostly used Sierra 220 SBT's :)

Also used 200 partitions with RL-22.
