There are minor differences between the MKI RSI and MKII/Hawkeye RSI, most notable is the tang safety vs 3-Position... basically the same look and feel for both. The MKI 7X57 that I just bought is a "Standard" though, with 22" barrel... it will be a running mate for my MKI Standard .358.

No problem... a couple other minor differences are a slightly thicker wrist and much better bluing on the MKI'S... the wood is often nicer on the older MKI'S... barrels and accuracy can be better with MKII'S, but the MKII'S also have the lawyerized triggers... I do DIY trigger jobs on all of my MKII'S.

Why I went for the one I got from you is I thought it would be an ideal or very close to the ideal rifle for our sometimes liquid sunshine conditions here on the island.
My #1 preference is for blued steel and nicely figured wood, however, considering the purpose I have in mind for this, I can live with it. Now

My compliaments. VERY nice. Oh, my only other stipulation for anything I have in a full wood or Mannlicher style is I want it in a European calibre. At the moment, I have two in 7x57 and one in 9.3x62.
These are .22/250, .243, .308, .358, .223, .243, .257 R, and 7X57... I suppose 1 out of 8 is a failing grade???

'Slickery Green' is the couch/hideabed in my den. And as far as putting the Mewsie to good use, Why not? did exactly that on one of his last visits and coffee sessions with some of the local CGNers.
