What is your preferred Canadian made barrel?

I’m getting ready to buy a barrel for my first custom project and I am using all Canadian components.

I can’t decide what barrel maker to use so I’m curious what everyone’s favourites has been from the Canadian manufactures.

So far, looking at IBI, Jury, JC Custom and K.S. Arms. Have I missed any?

I am waiting for my 3rd JC Custom. Should be any day now. This one will be for a new Barnard/Elisio tube gun build.

seeing some pretty tight KS Arms barrels in F-Class

There are a few JC barrels local that shoot great. Ive got two but havent got any rounds through one yet and very few through the other. He is a good guy to deal with though. I also have a IBI Ar barrel.

I have used over 6 JC barrels and every one has been a hummer!! I also use IBI which is extremely good. I understand that KS Arms is very good. His barrel making machine used to be in Kamloops and it was totally rebuilt using state of the art components. it used to be Mic McPhee's and Mic produced awesome 30 cal barrels for me. These barrel manufacturer's are producing barrels at least as good as any manufacturers from the US if not better.

I’ve fit several JC and have one of my own. They all shoot very well. And are super straight.

JC Custom Barrels, but you should plan ahead, won't happen overnight.

Are you putting the remage on a Remington or an aftermarket action?

Lots of votes for JC so far, I would be sending everything to the smith this fall to have it built over the winter, not in a rush.

I have owned 9 of Ron Smith's gain twist barrels. Every one was very accurate barrel and easy to clean .

I forgot about Ron Smith, definitely intrigued by gain twists. I wasn’t sure if he was still making barrels.
