So how SKSs are really out there, and if the Liberals restrict them then what happens to the owners without RPALs?

What are you going on about ?

How many are out there? Who knows, hundreds of thousands in canada alone im sure.
As for restricting them. I doubt they will.

Agreed, I remember laughing at guys at the gun store about the Ruger mags.:(

Dont worry we will slowly be eroded back to air rifles like the brits. Thats what I mean by there are rumors about everything... They want everything gone. Only criminals needs guns ;) Now go be a good citizen and consume, no need to look up from your phone. Everything is fine :) lol

Completely agree. They just love going after soft targets, as real criminals take much more effort...

I had no reason and have no reason to own one, so I bought mine because it was on sale and traded some 54r for some x39 and let it sit unfired in the safe for a long time, then my dad was going 410 shopping to carry when he went ice fishing for black bear protection, so I gave it to him instead. Technically I've only fired 5 rounds of x39 ever in a friends sks. My vz58 is 5.56.

too bad piece of s*** ain't a choice!
I like surplus and had lot's of fun with an SVT40, but when something is 10moa there is little fun and little training value in it.
I did have the fun of burning a 1200 crate in 1 summer at a sand pit and on the range, they we're even more disposable at the time.

Face it, what can you buy in centrefire for 200.00 that is cheap to shoot and well frankly you just don't worry about?

U just made the most common misjudgment regarding SKS rifles tho...... The SKS is NOT a $200 rifle. IT more like a $800+ rifle priced currently at $200dollars.

Actually you are right, good point.

Has anyone else tried the detachable mag, bolt rail/mag removal mod, charging knob move, and the push forward mag removal mod, all in one package with a modern stock?

You will be surprised how much more enjoyable this is to shoot. :)

Yes you are are right. Kodiak is just a sks made to look fancy and is 700$. An sks made today in Canada 100% will be around 1000$ price tag.

My SKS is the only rifle I own now, mostly have it just in case I ever need it, along with my two 9mm pistols and shotgun. Not sure what more I would ever need.

I had one as it seemed to be part of the gun owners starter kit ( 12ga pump, 22lr, sks) but regretfully sold it to a buddy as I felt it was inaccurate. Shot it after her adjusted the sites and instantly went out and got another one for myself.

Its simply a beater plinker that shoots a great little round and a great way to get new shooters excited about shooting. I just took my brother in law out to the range and that was the one gun he couldn't get enough of.
