what is more popular in Canada in abundance? 308 Winchester or .223/5.56 Remington?

I'm gonna guess 308. As it's a popular hunting round.
When my gas station sold ammunition, I didnt see any 223, same as my local hardware store. But both places had 308.

Nice to have both , if it comes down to one in my opinion you won't go wrong having something chambered in the current military caliber.
