what kind magazine can i use in a norinco 1911 police?

Im new to the pistols, and just got a norinco 1911 police two tone. i would like to get some magazine for it, so what kind can i use or will all 1911 magazines work? also seen 8,9, and 10 round magazines will these also work as i have 7 round ones.

you can use any 1911 pistol mags, all will fit Norc 100% and I can suggest to try MecGar, McCormick or Wilson Combat 8 rnds mags...now it's your choice depending on yr allowed budget
 
Some norks will not like 8 or 10 rd mags. These mags change the angle the top round sits at. My nork works great on cheap mags and screws up on the expensive ones.
 
I believe Marstar also lists the Norinco magazines. If the ones you have are working just fine why not stick with them. And they are cheap to boot!
 
I managed to find some USGI 7 rounders, which work perfectly (as do the cheapo Norc mags - not pretty, but function great). Be aware that there are some really crappy out of spec mags out there that look like, and are marked with, 'Colt' on the floor plate (both Blued and Stainless). It's so bad that I won't buy 'Colt' marked mags of any kind, not worth the hassle.
 
Haven't had an issue with any decent quality after market 1911 mags in mine.

I bought 6 Kimber Kimpro mags with the plastic "bumper" on the bottom..... They work very well in both my 1911's. (my new favorite mags!) I bought them during my last "visit" sout of the border, back when things wern't quite so "restrictive".... :D

I have tried them in My Colt Gold cup, My Norinco 1911A1, a buddies STI, a buddies Springfield Armories and in another buddies Para, They worked flawlessly for all of them, as did the 4 Colt mags I have and the 2 Norinco mags I have.

I think any standard 1911 magazine will work for the Norc Police.

I have had the most luck with Kimber, Shooting Star, and Wilson Combat.

I have yet to try Colt factory or Mecgar but they should work too.

I prefer any good quality name band to the Norinco factory one's supplied with the gun however.
 
The Norinco magazines feed wadcutters the best in my gun. My other magazines work fine with RN and TC bullets, but occasionally hang up with SWCs.
