What kind of 7.62x39 ammo for XCR-L?

MFS 7.62x39 is non corrosive, good price, you can get a bunch at wolverine supplies.

Why fire corrosive ammo in your 2600$ gun just to save really just a few bucks.

I've got over 3k of corrosive through my XCR now. Clean it properly and you will have zero issues.

It's not just a "few buck" in savings if you shoot lots.

My XCR is pushing 3 months old. I've run 2480 rounds of corrosive without issue.
When I get home I strip the gun, muzzle in the sink, hot water down the pipe, dry and oil. Watch the gap between the barrel and the break, it's hard to clean.
Overall the XCR is easier to clean than a SKS.
I put a vid up of my XCR banging a gong at 630 yards, you'd be surprised how accurate the old surplus ammo is. Search "gongbanging" ;).

Enjoy your new rifle.

Everything surplus!

As stated, it's more than few bucks when you shoot 500-600 in a day.
I found that the Czec and Chinese stuff is reliable and surprisingly accurate.
Clean it after and enjoy shooting it hard!

question to you guys running corrosive in your xcr's: when cleaning, do you guys remove the barrel / gas block / op rod / etc and clean them, too?

haven't shot corrosove through mine (yet) and was hoping to get some more input before I do...

Thanks!

I don't remove the barrel or take the gas block off, but everything else need to be taken out and cleaned, including the gas regulator. You also need to clean the inside of the gas tube.

I painted the part of the barrel under the handguard as well, to protect it from corrosion where the gas is vented.
