What kind of accuracy from a DD MK18 AR-15

Thanks Cgners for the trigger suggestion, i did locate some Geissele triggers at Arms East , i will open an account and make an order of stuff, i may need, maybe a triangle stopper under, i dont know how it's called, i think it look cool and good lube like CLP or Frooglube... JP.

I thought the JSOC MK18 was actually a Colt with a DD rail and that the DD MK18 was actually just a clever marketing tool by DD. I guess I was wrong.

No, you're correct. The DD RIS II made by Daniel Defense is now used on the Mod1s. However beside the select fire option, DDs offering meets the standards for a Mk18 Mod1 AFAIK.

The US Specials Forces have made confirmed kills out to 5 or 600 yards (I can't remember which and I'm assuming that it had an Elcan SU-230 mounted on it). I have built the big brother, Block II M4A1. 14.5" barrel and M4A1 RIS II, KAC NT4 flash hider, MK12 gas block, etc. The MK18 will be my next build. Both versions are unreal. You won't have any regrets if you build/buy this carbine. I've handled a Daniel Defense MK18 at Wolverine Supplies and the quality of these rifles is amazing. Zero slop between the receivers. If the upper receiver from DD didn't have DD advertising on the side of it, didn't have a Magpul trigger gaurd and it actually had the MK12 gas block I'd buy it rather than build it.

A contractor buddy of mine working in Iraq tagged a bunch of insurgents at +800 using an M4 and an ACOG. They went dry on the .50 and he correctly figured a dude with a QM should be able to make some hits.
