What kind of binoculars?

Have you seen the ad for the discounted Vortex Vulture 10x50's. They are $159 at Cameraland NY. Might be an ok buy, esp for the money.

Just an observation to think about - sold my 10X50 Leupolds and started using an 8X42 Wind River (Leupold), both roughly in the same price range. Found the WR's cleaner, steadier and lighter. Unless you're gonna spend a bunch, not sure the 10X50 is a great choice. an 8x in the same price range will probably be clearer.

I agree with this... unless you're going to spend quite a bit more money, cheep 10X binocs are usually not that clear.

I have been there done that! have bushnel 10x50 paid about $90 a few years back, Bought Nikon action model sent them back 3 times for repairs.
Don't think I could get $60 for both of them today. Very poor quality after using my Minox 10x50 they are just great bino's spend a little moe and call Doug at Camra land he has pair of 10by 42 Minox's for $389 new and demo's for $319
You will be very pleased.
