But don't Lynx have tufts of hair protruding from the tops of thier ears?
What is the difference between a lynx and bobcat? The photo was taken last week in the Eastern Townships of Quebec....
 
Good to know! However, I do not see any mention of shooting regulations for Labrador, it just says Newfoundland.

Yeah, the Guide isn't very helpful in that regard. Generally speaking, the regulations are much looser in Labrador, and this is no different when it comes to lynx. Section 14(4)(a) of the Wild Life Act (which overrules the Guide in any case) states:

the hunting, taking and killing of furbearing animals by means of firearms is permitted in the Labrador portion of the province

Re lynx, you have to watch the zones and open seasons too, especially on the island. We had no open season here last year.

Yeah, my grandfather used to use a 30-30, and my other grandfather had a .222 for trapping.
