What kind of Factory Black finish is on the 1990's Desert Eagles, Mark VII

Looking if anyone knows what the factory black finish was on a 1990's IWI Mark VII Desert Eagle? Looking at getting it coated but first need to find out if I can get the factory finish off.

Did the google, but no results on the process used, just the available finishes.
