looking for something easy to clean, something simple, 50 cal, scopeable, light weight, easy to get the primer on/off, reasonable quality, shorter type barrel etc.
Someone suggested a Traditions Pursuit.
Is that close to what I'm looking for?
Are there others to chose from meeting this criteria?

I bought a Traditions Tracker 209 when they were only about $150 new and it works well enough. You can't get them anymore, Traditions sells better guns now and I don't think you'll be sorry with one of those better models but I mention the Tracker just for comparison. I don't use it enough to replace it with something better but if I didn't have it, I'd buy a T/C Impact.

awesome, will check out all of these suggestions. I only have an old Kaunke (Cap type) (made in the USA), but I haven't shot it since I got it. Looks neat, but it's old school and not what I want. Finally gonna get time and a partner for the ML season this yr.

T/C Impact... Reasonable price, 50 cal, in line 209 ignition, easy to scope, removable breech plug, and use BlackHorn 209 powder...

Cheers
Jay

CVA Wolf, reasonable price, scalable, has different breech plugs that can be used for different legal hunting scenarios. Fine line of accessories to compliment it.

I have a CVA Acura MR. Quite compact, Nitron coated stainless barrel, very good trigger, and it will group under 1.5 inches at 100 yards with 100 grains of Blackhorn 209 and 250 grain Hornadys.

It is an amazing muzzleloader.

I have the Tc and a hawkin yet. I sold my cheaper muzzys as the were hard to take apart for cleaning. The Tc has option of different brl configes but are pricy to buy first. Could look for used one with rifle brl and buy muzzy brl latter or vice versa

If you are in no rush Wholesale Sports has some great Black Friday deals on Traditions Pursuit MLs. I got a new one sitting in my safe I paid 175 for shipped to me, it is my spare/loaner. I use a TC Prohunter, with Blackhorn 209 as my go to ML.
