i would like to stick with the original 3 white dot set up iam just wondering the brand name of paint so this does not happen again! something that will resist the heat of 500 round days at the range

there is white engine enamel at Crappy Tire if you really want to stick with white.

FWIW, regular white-out holds very well, even against brake cleaner, and is quite bright. I would, however, use a fluorescent color, like others suggested. A fluorescent orange nail polish really helps to acquire that front sight faster. I did this on two of my guns that have white dots, and see a real difference.

Look for a fluorescent red rather than an orange. Orange has yellow in it which tends to blur the edges optically. Red reads as nearly a black in terms of contrast, whereas yellow reads as a very low-scale grey, and contrast is what you need if you want a clear read on your front sight.
