What kind of skull is this???

A buddy found this on a hike right in Prince Rupert city limits. It does not look like a deer skull too me. What are your thoughts??

Looks to be a calf moose or deer, from the size and teeth.

BTW that area of BC does have a few feral pig/boar populations.
The hole in the front looks like it was hunted...any projectile inside?

Domestic Pig. The hole in the head likely indicates that it was slaughtered on a farm. The bush around my grandfather's farm was scattered with skulls just like that with the .22 hole in the exact same spot. After slaughter and butchering they'd toss the head (having first removed all the meat for head cheese) into the woods for the foxes.

As for what kind of shotgun, a 16 gauge should be plenty!

It looks like a young or small moose to me.
