What kinds of scopes do you guys run on your 308?

I've had 3 Sightrons on 3 rifles , S111 6 x 24 LRMOA for 6 years with no problems . Some day i'll upgrade but for now i can't find a reason . I bought zero stops and tactical turrets for them , they track well and no need of warranty work . One each on a .223 , .308 and .338LM .

if you dont mind sharing. Where did you get the stops and how much were they?

I am a fan of the Trijicon 1-8x 24mm Accupower for close to medium-range use.

For Precision Long Range target shooting where weight is not an issue (and is considered beneficial by some), I run the Vortex Razor HD Gen 2 4.5-27x 56mm optic. It is a boat anchor, but otherwise outstanding in just about every regard.

When I have a .308 Long-Range Precision rifle that I wish to take afield, I go with the US-manufactured Vortex Razor AMG 6-24x 50mm lightweight cross-over Precision/Hunting optic. Although pricey at $3500 like its heavy Razor HD Gen 2 cousin, the featherweight Razor AMG is worth every penny. It is a truly superb, practical optic for long-range hunting.

I like my Vortex Strike Eagle 3-18x44 SFP. Not too heavy, descent glass, good value when on sale, illuminated reticle, and good warranty. Good all-arounder that can do close up shots, to see holes on paper at 100m, and can still be used for hunting out to 800m.

Nice scope but it's no longer on Vortex's site.
Still available if you look, SFRC for example, and Vortex has a decent warranty too.

Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4x24 firedot. Shoot regularly 400yds and under.

Very lightweight, consistent clickers, lit reticle can be used as a red dot for quick stuff and clarity is plenty to make good hits out to 400 for my eyes.
Next up would be 2.5-10 but getting significantly heavier at this point.
