what knife do you use to field dress your game?

cant stand those little short blade glorified pocket knife things they call hunting knives, that use little tiny cuts, they are mainly built to cut deep gashes
in yer hands and fingers
to me those are for little kids
that still like to whittle on sticks and play with themselves

I have been using a Russell for the past 30 years. It was what my dad gave me when I graduated elementary school.
So the pressure was on to which knife I give to my 13 year old son when he graduates elementary school.
I did some research on this site and found that the Mora was the most durable and held a good edge. I bought the Morkniv Champion Heavy Duty knife (orange) from Amazon for $25. The YouTube videos showed just how durable they are.
I really hope he keeps it as long as I have kept my knife
 
Large OLFA blade. Found a spare handle in the work trailer, grabbed a few blades, after gutting and skinning a deer with it this year I don’t see the need to buy anything else. I always have a good clip-point for heavier tasks on me though.
 
I use a variety of knives ,my favorite is a old buck 110 folder from 1967 ,440c steel,Buck Vanguard drop point,blackjack model 125 heavy hunter,I have lots of grohmanns that never get used as they just don't work in my big hands.

I've used a lot of knives over the years and the Cabèlas/Buck Alaskan guide series knives are top notch and can do heavy work without dulling too soon.
 
ive got one of those little light weight scalpel knives aswell, forget the name off top of head, fluro ornge..
but i have a hard time trusting i can do the whole animal so i always have a half serated half smooth gerber , downside it is heavy as, so i wanna upgrade to more lighter parcel
 
LT Wright Brumby Lite in A2 has been my go-to whitetail knife. I have put many others up against it field dressing deer but it has yet to be knocked out of top spot.

LT Wright Small Swoop in D2 or Nordsmith Lapwing in AEB-L are my small game knives.
