What Lube for Yugo M48 Bolt?

I've stripped the bolt down for the first time on my M48 Mauser. What lube do people use after cleaning to keep it going for many rounds to come? Just the typical gun oil or CLP type product? Any grease anywhere in there, maybe on the ramp of the cocking piece?

Some basic gun oil like hoppes or whatever will work fine.

Depending on the weather, and your personal taste. Some use oils, others grease.

Generally you don’t want too much viscous oil running down into the tang area and stock. It will accumulate at the base and over time, will degrade the stock.

If possible, use a light grease such as lithium or high performance synthetic. It will stay put.

During very cold winter temperatures, you may want to use a light oil instead.
