A friend recently sent me these pics asking for help identifying this gun.
All I know is it is a pin fire revolver. I know some of you guys are a wealth of knowledge
so I thought I would ask.

thank you in advance for any info.

It appears that the gun has been altered over the years, there being no front sight suggest the barrel was cut, and there is no ejector rod, although there might have never been one. The cylinder flutes are similar in style to a larger 7mm revolver made by Jules Pire & Co. What I don't see on your gun is the notches at the rear of the cylinder for the ignition pins.

This looks like a rimfire revolver. Caliber is hard to tell with muzzle damage, looks smaller than 22 though. There were many rimfire calibers in the late 1800s which would be my guess. It doesn't look like pin fire.

You would have more luck in antiques, with close up pictures of any markings on or in the cylinder. Looks Belgian and inexpensive. The end of the barrel has been sawed off. The ejector rod hole is there, but no retaining mechanism. This could have been ground off and the revolver re-nickelled, the plating looks like it's peeling, which is usually what happened to the re-finish jobs.

What makes you think it is a pin fire, we need to see a better picture of the rear of cylinder, and it you find any proof marks.

I'm pretty sure that's not a pin fire. And pretty sure the barrel has been cut back. Looks a bit like the velodog revolvers out of france/belgium. something like 4 mm rimfire?

here is a similar one that the Petawawa Museum has it is a Liege revolver. No other markings on it or serial #. To fire it, you have to push the trigger forward after every shot.
