What makes a 1911 - a 1911 - in YOUR opinion?

Colt, 5", single stack, internal extractor, etc.

Jeez. I have seen the promised land. caramel that defines beauty IMHO. I just have to get enough self control in me to put the money aside. How much north of $3K are we talking or do we quite get there?

This was 3K on the nose, expensive not that much for a custom 1911 and like you say, a beauty, still unfired, i dont know if will be able to keep it in this state very long, my trigger finger is itching... JP.

Criminal of you don't shoot it. In my view the only thing that would improve the looks of that pistol would be if the front bluing was worn off from repeated draws from a holster as would be the bluing on the trigger guard and the beavertail and the muzzle only slightly blackened from the powder residue from the last range visit. :>)

Who sells the model in Canada or did you have to order it in?

Got if from Clay at Prophet...

According to Clay, this is the first one 1970CY he saw coming so North, i was in touch with a gentleman at the Colt custom shop that told me only 90 a year are built, is take on this was that my 1911 was the only one who made it to Canada to his knowledge... JP.
