I'd like some other people's thoughts on what makes a good precision match!

I'm tasked with setting one up and I have a few do-able ideas if I have my way, but I know that not everyone likes the same stuff.

The match is pretty informal and I'd like it to be a fun one. Anyone have any good experiences in the past? What kind of things were done to keep the match interesting but not just a plain jane, shoot 100 yd, 200 yd, 300 yd. Tally score and you're all done.

Any thoughts? and thanks!

Eggs, Playing card shoots (10 shots, must hit one of the suits on a playing card with each hit)

Snap shoots (Limited time exposures with each shot ie: 3 seconds)

Long-distance shotgun clays,

...Liberal campaign signs...

I like matches where there's some physical stress added into the mix...
Running between shots, pushups, jumping jacks... 'Something to get your heart pumping...

Anyone can lay there all day squeezing off V-bulls prone off a rest...

Make the shooting hurt.

Moving targets, positional shooting, snap shooting, equipment restrictions (no rest, sling only, etc). Basically things people can't get on their everyday trip to the range.

i wish i could shoot v-bulls all day
i would try stuff like if you make the shot you are rewarded with points and if you miss it you are penalized(points deducted)
