These two bases appear to be a pair, have no markings, and were in a bag of scope mount bases from an estate, so I have no idea what they might fit.
One has a curved base - I am guesstimating 1.5" diameter - larger than a Mauser 98 front ring since it rocks slightly when set on an unmolested Brazil 1908 receiver. The two holes are .322-.323" centre to centre, oriented conventionally if it goes on a front receiver ring.
The other has a flat base. It has two holes about .503-504"" centre to centre, that would be at right angles to the rifle.
Laid upside down on a flat surface, the peak of the curve on the first one is the same thickness as the flat on the second one.
I note that they are not perfectly symmetrical, so they are possibly "home made", but I am not familiar with a rifle with a 1.5"-ish diameter receiver ring, and rear scope base holes at right angles to the bore line.
Anyone know what they might be for?
