What Military Barrel is this ?

AN -M2 .30 AIRCRAFT GUN Inglis made these also in .303 ,Hurricanes had 8 of these guns in each wing. 1200 rounds per minute per gun.

Inglis made the .303" Browning MkII* which was much different from the 30 cal US M2 in that it was redesigned to fire from an open bolt.
Hurricane MkI & IIA mounted 4 guns per wing. MkIIB 6 per wing.

Mmmm...'K so that's 4800 rds per min divide x 60 = 80 rds per second for the Mk1 & 11A
and for the Hurricane Mk11B it's 7200 rds/min, divide x 60 = 120rds per second.

Orrrr hang on....are these guns timed? {example} would they have a firing order or would they all go bang @ the same time when the pilot pulls the trigger. That could Fu<k up my math

One of the weaknesses of this deal was, that in spite of that impressive rate of fire, the Germans could just stay outside their effective range and shower em with 20 mm HE. :D
