What Milsurp for 2008?

i look at the website quite often, they have nice stuff, but in the real world i figure their stuff is worth 1/3 - 1/2 what they typically ask for it.

Can't say I am actively looking for anything.....but I don't go looking for milsurps, we find each other. Usually at gunshows, where they wait for me like a puppy at the petstore. Or on the EE, where if you don't check it 20 times a day, you would miss the really good ones.
I took a last minute ride to the Yorkton Gunshow on the weekend and there was a .455 Webley mkVI hiding in the corner of a display case for a very reasonable price. Funny thing was I didn't get there until 3:30 and up to that point nobody had grabbed it. I had it transferred to a more local dealer at the show to cut mailing costs, and while moving over to his table, suddenly there was intense interest. Nobody ever wants something as bad as when they can't have it.

My collection for rifles is complete in its most basic form. I could be looking for variations and other makers, but I am happy where I am. I don't have an urge for much else rifle-wise. Can always get another Colt or milsurp wheel or pistol though....

For all those guys who think they don't need anything else - I'd be interested to revisit this thread in a year and get an update to what everyone got.
Heck, I just dragged home the Otis Elevator Bofors 40mm.......I must recuperate before I start seeking out more holy grails. Oooops, wait a minute, I have a deal pending on an Inglis Bren in 8mm with Chinese script. Oh yeah, then theres the Elcan FN C1A1 sniper scope setup thats supposed to be in the mail yesterday. And that 8mm FN-49 thats caught up in a transfer with the CFC. But thats it...nothing more. (Did I mention I'm off to the Saskatoon gunshow Friday??)
You know, my ego was just recouperating after seeing collection pics in an old thread... then you had to tell me that.

Thats just February's haul. March promises to be good as well. One or two projects are nearing completion.
