What milsurp is this for?

Howdy.
Came across this long appx 16" bayo. Advertized as a steyr M95 bayo but it doesnt look quite right to me. Anyone know what its for?

- Scabbard is either for a Winchester M95 musket or a Remington Model 1902 bayonet.


- I checked my books. Bayonet is indeed Mauser VZ-23 aka Model 1923 bayonet. I checked my books.

IIRC Steyr Mannlicher for M1895 carbine.

The Mannlicher short rifle of WW1 had a front sight on the top of the muzzle ring to compensate for jump in the short barrel.

I could not find a picture but found a discussion on the Mannlicher 1985 Short rifle.

Your bayonet looks like a Czechoslovakian Model VZ23 Mauser "Long" Bayonet (aka Czechoslovakian Model VZ24 "Long" Bayonet)
