What Model Husqvarna is this?

The Husky was the Model 5000. They were an entry level model with a matte finish receiver, 22" barrel with sights, monte-carlo comb without a cheekpiece on the stock.

That is not the model in question, the 4100 Featherweight, which has a 20 1/2 " barrel that tapers abruptly right off the receiver ring, while the 5000 has the same contour as the standard sporter, but 22" long.

The 5000 is often mistakenly called the Featherweight, but actually weighs 6-8 onces more, depending on caliber, than the 4000/4100 model. It has Husky roll stamped right on the barrel.

Sorry Guys but the front sight has to go:D. The rear was already gone and the front is bent and missing the hood. I'm just worried about scaling the inside of the barrel if I heat it as much as I think I'll have to so I figured I would just rough grind it off with my angle grinder and finish the rest by hand. I'm going to bead blast the action and barrel and trigger guard and finish with a clear coat so if there are a couple of marks left from the surgery they won't show. I'm grinding a piece to fill in the rear sight dovetail and that shouldn't show much either. I think I may paint the stock camo also just to really freak you guys out;).

Here's what the bead blast looks like (one of my 10/22's)

Elimsprint;

I just inherited the same rifle (from my father-in-law passed away in July in Kelowna) in 30.06. It has a 20 1/2 inch barrel. Although, I could not find a model number or designation on it; my father-in-law always referred to it as the "featherweight". He received it new, years ago, as a Christmas gift from his wife (i.e. my wife's mother who passed away long ago)....back in the days when your wife could go out and buy you such a special gift.

Enjoy it, I plan to take mine out this fall.
