what mods?

i have a 1377 that i would like to mod. it is suppose to be a u.s. model. it goes through both sides of a soup can at 20 yards. would a flat top piston still give me the same power i have now? what mods are usually done on these powerful models? i want to keep it as a pistol. how much does it cost to replace the plastic parts with metal ones? thanks for replies. btw i think its from 06.

See if you can borrow a chronograph to see what its shooting. A flat top valve and piston in that gun will push a .177 pellet well over 500fps. I know becuase I have chronographed my 1377 turned into a 1322 and I am just shy of 500 fps with a .22 pellet.
