Kinda pissed! I've passed up a gang of three jakes several times now and today I said piss on it,its getting to close to the end, so I took one of the buggers at 6;10PM today.
Well I drive to the check station to do the right thing and the gates are locked.s**t!
Well ,there is another station another fifteen minutes west, (local gun shop)"I'll go there"..............Closed at 5:30PM.
Why do they expect us to run around all over the f%&*ing place if they are not even going to keep these places open at least till 7:45 or 8:00PM so you can weigh a bird in?????!!!
I figure I did my best to get this bird in, and the pricks weren't open to take it so I did it myself.
I dont know about you fella's but I want to pluck and clean em up a fast as possible, not drive around all over the country side.

Weighed 15.4 lbs
4" beard
3/8 spurs

On my way home from driving all over trying to weigh jake in, I
took a pic of the black fox (cross fox) ##### that has den of pups about 3/8 of a mile from my place (she is all black except for the tip of her tail)
Havent seen the old man but at least two of her pups are normal reds. Not a great pic,but....

It's sounds like trying to drop a deer hide off at one of the Alberta Hide Collection sites......not one guy wanted three hides between Edmonton and Peace River......the list was out of date, wrong phone numbers etc....no wonder the Alberta Fish and Game Association doesn't get any respect.....

That turkey-in-the-sink pic is making my mouth water ;) :) Thanks for the pic's :D Huntinstuff, I have the same problem with moose hides. Some of the local native women wanted all the moose hides we could supply so my buddies and I took great care in skinning our bulls and hung the hides on my barb wire fence. I contacted the locals and told them they can pick up four whole hides at my place the next time they are going by on the way to/from town. Several weeks later I called again and they decided I should haul the hides 50 miles to them. Short story = the hides ended up in the dump. Tossing them out wasn't the problem, it was all the care we used not to ruin them while peeling those moose. What a waste of time & effort

Nice Pics! And yes, I agree with you, running all over the place to register an animal is a pain in the ass.

Last year, after I shot my deer, I drove directly to the DNR office in Fredericton. Walked in, said I had to register a deer... The lady behind the desk told me, "We don't register deer here at DNR!!!" UNREAL!!! I had to drive out to New Maryland, a short drive, but none the less, the MAIN OFFICE for DNR N.B. DOESN'T register deer!!!

Cheers
Jay
