Good question. Never tried it, so just off the phone with Scott Samson, answer is, yes. (He also says 'loose the condom' ).

I was very disappointed with my Aimpoint QRP. The torque limiter worked too well. It required Loctite and a pair of pliers to ensure it didn't loosen off on my AR. Anyone want a slightly used one cheap?
