What neck turning tool.

I am using the first model and I am happy with it. Before purchasing IDOD, I was using the PMA necking tool. The only problem I have with the these kind of traditional neck turning tools is that the mandrel heat up pretty fast. If I don’t be really careful with heat I can’t get a good result.

I have turned around 2000 pieces brass already and I found IDOD is really pleasant to use. It’s fast, consistent and very reliable.

Not really.
Fast RPM will help to creat a better cut.
The reason why people say slower is better is because the the traditional neck turner use a neck turn mandrel to hold the case moth in place. Fast RPM will creat heat faster, which is not good for creating even cut.
IDOD system doesn’t need mandrel so fast RPM won’t creat the heat.
Hope this help.
