No it isn't, and he has it listed in his options. The 280 AI is damn near ballistically equal, but it is an Ackley Improved, so it kicks the s**t out of the Rem Mag on the coolness scale. 7mm Rem Mag is only slightly cooler than 30-06, so not that cool at all.

I don't think he cares so much about cool as you do and fireforming is more unessesary work if you don't have to, the 7RM is hard to beat in all counts, try and buy 280AI ammo in the gun shop in a pinch. Nosler brass for the AI is exspensive (the price of been cool).
I would stick to a 280 or 7mm RM as good and practical as anything out there.

Try and get your hands on a 6.5x55 swedish. can't go wrong. Low recoil very high accuracy, and i've taken moose with mine
