What norinco "should" make

Copying is the most sincere form of flattery. But whereas the Norincos do have poorer finish, they very often have frames that are of better metalurgy and closer to spec than the originals and American-produced models. Examples would be the M1911A1 or M14 copies that Norinco makes. These are rough finish, [mostly]military arms made by a military conglomorate for a little extra cash on the side.

Oh Hitzy, I've got a 1911a1 commander and the milling on the inside of the dust cover/front of the frame looks like it was done with a rusty old dremel bit. Can't imagine this would affect reliability or accuracy though.

The dust covers aren't milled, they are drilled to my understanding.
I have milled quite a bit in my day, and the only thing that even came close to such a horrible finish was a dull, dented and over used drill.
The one on my commander looked like ####e, but I cleaned it up.
And the ####y finish does not affect accuracy as the slide does not "ride" in the dust cover, it's only a cover.
