What now for PCC?

If nothing else comes up I guess we can use pistol carbine chassis things, don't know what the general term for them would be. A modern take on the old shoulder stocked Hi-powers and Broom Handles. This unit is a CAA MCK, P320 version though they do them for a bunch of handguns.

There is also the B+T P320 Grip Module with side-folding Buttstock. Unlike some conversions, this one has a reasonable Lenght of Pull which does not require the firer to "scrunch up" on the rear of the gun. It is a more minimalist approach to the PDW/PCC than some of the others, being just a grip module.

Of course, there is always the King of the Pistol-based PDW/PCCs if you have the spare scratch - the SIG Legion Flux Raider priced at a cool $2600 CAD without the $500 USD Fire Control Unit (the serialized P320 "firearm"):

Hello, I might missed it but i just want to ask.

Will B&T USW in Glock 17 Conversion kit acceptable in IPSC PCC in Canada. I just want to make sure.
It should be. That being said, it needs a stock, and a place for your support hand. If your support hand is too close to the muzzle you might accidentally sweep yourself and be sent off with the dreaded DQ....

Is anybody else waiting for the February OIC announcement that takes the R9 off the table as well? I hope there is enough chaos happening to distract blackface, but you never know.
Mark

Its hard to imagine much of a push for buying new PCC's as long as the threat remains.

yup..city people are pretty screwed, but for a big chunk of owners, the fun keeps going no matter the libturds say,

Has more to do with how you use your PCC, rather than where you live. More than a few use their PCC for competition, which is no longer an option (for the moment.)

The R9 and Homesteader are options for sure... But with the Libs ready to burn everything down on their way out the door, I for one, won't be purchasing a new PCC to replace my competition pcc's that I already have thousands upon thousands invested in until we have a certified change in government.

I'm sure the R9 will be a great rifle, and find it's way into competitive use. But I just can't fathom another $2000+ for a rifle and a half dozen mags at this point with a chance of it being banned any day. Once we are out of the woods, I would love to give one a try and see how it holds up in competition. Until then it's a chassis system for one of my pistols (that I already own), or shoot PO or classic minor this season.

Yep, but I'd rather have a couple guaranteed years use than a couple possible days
True. And a chance to rid myself of the ones that have become surplus to my needs.

Gotta end procrastinating. The firearms ownership opportunities look bleak.

Unless Donald takes us over and offers us the same freedoms the other 50 states do. 🇺🇲 (y)

What about a semi universal pistol chassis that's 3d printed that can fit basically any railed pistol and run it like a PCC? I recent made one for mine and it worked flawless in testing with my M&P9. I was thinking of doing a run of them for sale. Made it from a carbon fiber polymer. Any interest? I have a video of me running it as well. Allows you to mount anything as a stock that mounts on a 1913 picatinny rail. Modular front ends that can be adapted to any pistol with a foregrip or none, and of course a top rail that let's you mount an optic.

While yours is a universal design and therefore has more potential utility, the fact remains that more streamlined, injection-moulded, gun-specific designs are available online for as little as $145 USD from places such as Zahal. This FAB Defense KPOS AMP Pistol Conversion Kit for the Glock is a case in point. Is your time, effort, materials, printer maintenance, electricity, etc all worth less than $145 per copy in order to compete?

Are there any of these chassis type things ^^^^^^ for a Shadow 2?

I have searched but came up pretty empty handed.

Kind of off topic but in the event that the CPC doesn't undo any bans, I woud like to see one of the Canadian manufacturer's make a AR pattern competition oriented pump action 9mm that accepts Glock mags. I think this would be a good compromise that would still allow us to burn through 10 rounds quickly in a competition and have something that won't hopefully get banned the week we buy it. I've wanted to have a slick pump action 9mm range toy for years but nobody makes one.
Agree but is there enough demand and ROI for a Canadian manufacturer to pour capital into R&D and manufacturing of the same knowing how the Canadian political climate is going?

Plus if the Glock mags are banned (and the government has more than hinted at magazine bans) then that will be a huge blow to that model.
