what of the m305 is actually the "firearm"

Hi all, I've sent in for my PAL and am in waiting for it to arrive. My friend found an m305 for a really good price and he bought it to hold for me. It's currently sitting in his safe.

The rifle came with a very beat up paint job. I'd like to strip it all down and get cleaned up to re paint.

I understand that on AR type weapons, PAL is required for the lower receiver. .. but not the upper or externals etc...

I'm wondering what parts, if any, can be removed from the M305 that I can bring home to clean up. I'd like to assume the stock would be a go, but we know what happens when people assume. Anything else I can get started on?

Reciever is the firearm. So bolt, op rod, barrel, gas system etc. But doubt you'd wanna go through the effort taking a barrel off to repaint lol
