Hello all,

I am a newbie and would like to apologize if this post is not on the right place.

Just bought a Dillon XL 650 and was wondering if you all could please help me figure out what else I would need with it to start reloading. This is the only thing I have as of this moment. I understand I would need a die set for this since none was included. I will be reloading for 9mm and .40. I would appreciate all the feedback and thank you in advance.

Well when I got mine, I added quite few stuff to make it work as I like. First and foremost is the casefeeder and powder check alarm and of course the dies.

Then I bought the aluminum roller handle, strong mount, bullet tray, and some upgrade kits from ebay. Live primer catcher and spent primer catcher upgrades are well worth the money imo (spent primers now drops through a tube to a plastic container with removable cap, pretty much the same for live primers).

If I were to do it again, I would get the ultramount and ergo roller handle, from inline fabrication. Dillon ones work very well, but I think the ultramount is just way more beefier and rigid than the Dillon mount.

There's not a lot to add if you are just loading pistol cartridges. Things get expensive when you start loading rifles, especially 223 and 308.

IMO a bullet feeder is not essential starting out, but you'll want to get the case feeder.

Get the strong mount and roller handle. The LED lighting from inline fabrication lights things up nicely.

I agree, you don't need the bullet feeder right away, and the LED light kit is great to see whats going on

Case feeder, powder checker, alpha dynamics mini bulletfeeder, spent primer add on, and live primer catcher add on. I prefer to sit so I don't use the riser mount.

There is a mod for powder splillage of 9mm forget the name at the moment but it's a bearing and modes to make the case advance smoother
