What outfitter tent is this?

Looks like a military 10 man arctic tent. It should have a white detachable liner inside but for that price I wouldn't complain if it didn't

Ayup. Pretty good score, and a great hunting camp tent for a couple guys, rather than the ten that the military thinks should be in it!

Does anyone have experience with this tent? There's not much info online. Looks like it only uses a center pole and the sides are just guyed out. Super pumped to pick it up tomorrow

You are right. It only uses a center pole and the guy lines.

When you are setting it up peg down the 6 pegs where the ground flaps join then you can get inside to erect the pole. When you are pegging the 6 main pegs, be sure to have the door closed and zippered or you will be making adjustments later when you find out that you cannot get the door closed. Then you can peg down the rest of the guy lines. It can have 2 different poles. One acts like a folding knife and the other like an extension pole. They both work well.

Good find and buy. A lot of us were looking for them at a reasonable price when we first got out.

Picked it up today. Pretty happy with it overall. Will make a great elk/moose camp when I don't want to pull the trailer.it set up really easy. About 15 minutes by myself. I probably didn't do it perfectly but will learn over time. I really wish I had a pentagonal ground sheet. Would make setup way easier.

Were you really lucky and got the base plate for the pole, the pole hook to hang a lantern and the pegs and peg mallet as well? VERY nice score at that price. When, not if, it gets wet while up DRY VERY THOROUGHLY before repacking!

Unfortunately no, the center pole it came with is some homemade 4 piece thing but actually works quite well.

The original is a telescoping tube. The baseplate is an aluminum disk with a divet for the pole. The top of the pole is a much smaller diameter stud. As described after the perimeter is pegged, the guy inside pushes up the pole and screws the combined nut to raise the apex. Then the guy rope guys string things out. The smoke flap is on the outside - naturally. The snow flaps splay out, and in deep snow the drill is to bury the flaps to seal off the outside wind. BTW, there is a trick to tape or tie the stud on the pole into its hole so things don't get disappointing (and the air filled with ribald sarcastic remarks about making connections).

There is supposed to be a white nylon liner hung off the little eyelets by a string laced round and round. It seems weird, but the genius is that string is a place to hang you damp mitts, tuques, mukluk liners or other damp things. There is no floor, unless the tent group commander has confirmed 3-4-5 tarps or ground sheets are loaded. Finally, the drill for any open flame is to always have one man awake inside at all times.

Nice tent and like others have said good score. I have one but my stove pipe hole is on the other side of the entry door. If u got it set up in 15 min first go you will be a champ at it in no time! Great West metal belly stove is what I have in mine and works well. Added a home made spark arrestor to stove pipe JIC.
