Just wondering what you would buy if you a had a grand? Ok 1150 with taxes but that's it... I would like to know cause mine is currently a sub/compact glock can you persuade me different! Am I looking into the right direction??? Help me pls!

walther p99as or ppq.

the p99as has been my favorite polymer framed gun. great ergs, fantastic accuracy. i personally like the DA/SA type trigger with the decocker, but many prefer the glock type constant trigger on the ppq. both great pieces imho

I would try out a Cz or Sig in that price range. Then you have a steel and a plastic gun. A lot of people are probably going to push you toward a shadow if you can find one at your price. If you like 1911's in 9mm, I think the STI spartan is in there. You didn't say which caliber you wanted to go with.

The nicest 1911A1 I can get for that price. Brand would not matter (although I'm leaning toward a Ruger 1911A1 stainless. I love the looks of that pistol!!).

Awaiting my rpal, once I do I'm more then likely getting the Springfield armoury xdm competition 5.25 in 9mm. I'm going to use it for 3 gun comp.

As Silverfoxdj mentioned it really does depend on what you want this pistol to cover. Strictly target practice with great trigger get a CZ 75 Shadow, want it to also cover possible home defence or SHTF situation go CZ 75B with night sights. Not sure from your post if you already have a Glock sub compact or if you just had decided this was your current choice to buy. If you don't have a Glock get a full size Glock 17, put night sights and ghost ultimate trigger bar on it and you will have a great pistolfor all situations. I also really enjoy shooting my Beretta 92fs which shoots very well. Lots of top contenders out there, you need to fit your hand size, personal preferences to the pistol you select.

excatly what i was going to suggest. i love my little glocks

Actually there is a few things to consider before you pick your handgun. You need readily available spare parts, which sooner or later you may need, then there is an accessories issue, you want a gun for which a few extra mags will not cost you an arm and a leg. Then there are guns with polygonal barrels that cannot shoot lead projectiles such as for example Glock, unless you get an aftermarket barrel which will cost you dearly. Then you also might consider which caliber, for example, if you start reloading and want to shoot Glock 22, it is not recommended, because Glock specifically does not have fully supported chamber and a hot load in it is likely to blow up your gun. The gun also has to feel good in your hand, if it won't, you will not enjoy shooting it. Good luck and good shooting.

So here is my thoughts
stainless is heavier absorbs the recoil better keeps you on target .
Like the other guy stated cz and sig I have both
both are great reliable solid pistols
Cz is better in my hand but I like my big stainless sig it just feels mean and solid
