What powder to hord?

I'm getting into the AR game and just wondering whats the better power to start purchasing? H335 or BL-C(2)
I have about 1000 cheap 55gr bullets that I'm going to use up then I'll probably be using 62gr armscor or Privi bullets.

I will most likely be loading for .308Win for semi-auto in the future too. I know both can be used for .308 but which would be the best choice?

If you are doing 5.56 (.223) and 7.62 (.308) I recommend you get lots of H4895.

I've got a few pounds of Varget already but I'm saving that for my target loads. Maybe something that meters well out of a Lee autodisk powder measure too...

Too late, the ammo/reloading supplies hoarding dilemma has been going on now for almost 2 years.........in particular in the US.

Yeah, the reason it is cheaper is that it fouls your guns up with soot.

OP, if you are planning on moving up to 62 gr in the future, I would be looking at varget and 4895. Benchmark may be a little too fast for the heavier pills, although it works great with 55's

From what I've read, H335 & H322 are both good, with H322 being GREAT for lighter (<55gr) bullets. They also meter well, as the grains aren't as long as Varget (H322) and H335 is spherical (I think...)

H335 works great, unfortunately it is not an extreme powder. That's the only reason I don't use it.
