What press to buy

I can't decide what press to buy.:bangHead: I'am thinking of the RCBS Rock Chucker or the Lyman Rock Crusher. For Shotshells I'am thinking of the Mec 600jr. Or are the better presses out there.
 
I have a Rock Chucker but I also just ordered a Redding Big Boss II. Both are top notch but the Big Boss II has a spent primer collecting system that makes it nicer than the Rock Chucker. I don't think you could go wrong with either of these.

A set of Redding Match or Competition Dies would also be great with these presses!
 
I've gone throught the whole "what press to buy" question.

After looking around for a few months I've settled on the Hornaday Lock-N-Load. I put my order in today. I think it's the best value and quality combination that you can get in a press.

For a shotshell loader, nothing better than a Ponsness Warren 375. You can change bushings for any guage, they are built to last and the price, while a little steep, is worth every penny.
All of the metal cartrige reloaders noted in other posts are great, my favorite is the RCBS, but for inexpensive and well made the new Lee Classic Cast Single stage is a good bet.
 
For rifles I like my RCBS Rockchucker. I've used it for 25 years now (maybe my opinion is somewhat biased) without any problems at all.
 
Do you load for pistol or precision rifle? Precision rifle will not benefit from a progressive, actually, a progressive will be a distinct DISadvantage if you're loading small lots of ammo. Really, I'd suggest that everyone have at least one quality single stage press. Rock Chucker, Lee Classic Cast, Lyman, whatever.
 
I used a RCBS press for years then switched to a Forster CO-AX.I like the CO-AX better.A little more money but I think it's a better press too.
