What projectiles does everyone use for 30-30 lever actions

Nobody said it yet, I'll do: Don't use your 308's 180gr pointed nose bullets in your tubular mag rifle, unless you only put no more than 1 in the mag at any time.

I have tried loading 165g and 180g spire point bullets.

The COL is too long to cycle threw a Marlin 336 action. Don't have 150s to try.
I doubt it would fit threw a m94 either.

I have actually played with it. No as easy to do as everyone thinks.

Couldn't believe how good the 160 gr FTX in front of Leverevolution shot. I didn't think a lever action could shoot like that. A great combination.

And for fun, I shoot lots of Berry's 150gr plated, in front of 10 or 11gr of Trailboss. It's really light, and good for teaching new shooters.

Speer 130gr FP and IMR 4198, makes a nice reasonably flat shooting combo in the 30-30. These worked really well in my Marlin. For 170gr bullets I lucked into the last bulk bags of Remington SPCL Wholesale Sports had, and these of were wonderfully accurate and expanded very well in milk jug tests. Sadly these aren't available to the reloader anymore. Sierra 150 and 170s worked very well too. These bullets are marked Power Jacket and 30-30 right on the box, and are definitely designed to expand at 30-30 velocity. I tried factory Hornady 160gr loads but did not get good accuracy so didn't bother to try and reload with them. The thing about the bullets designed for the 30-30 is that they are tailored for that caliber and velocity range, the same company's Spitzer designs has to work in the 300 Savage to 300 RUM velocities and everything in between.
