What Provs/Ters MUST you wear Blaze Orange?

According to statistics, the number of bird hunters has dropped dramatically but that is not the case with the numbers of big game hunters. In fact looking at my draw booklets from several years, the number of people taking part in the big game draws has increased significantly.
Good news, I stand corrected! :)

I'm not sure if that's the case here in NB :(

Of course the new stats will likely show a decrease in hunting and fishing licenses of all kinds purchased due to the metis no longer requiring licenses in Alberta.

Blaze Orange Not needed in BC, but recommended.

Red is pretty much useless... in the course they showed a video of a Guy in a Bright Red jacket walking behind a guy with Blaze Orange jacket, and after a few steps in the bush you could only see the guy in Blaze Orange.

Yup the guy in Red totally disappeared, and what you did see looked like 'movement'.

Now mind you there have been time where not being seen has been a good thing for me an my friends as we where out Mushroom picking last fall,(Chantrells not Magic silly) :p and some hunters walked right past us within 40 yards as we sat on a log having lunch. We didn't dare say anything as we didn't want to startle them.

Other hunters I have talked to have mentioned the same sorts of things happening to them.

When I go out hunting this fall I'll prob' keep one of those Blaze Orange hats handy. :)

when i hunt i wear a full blaze jacket and hat (remington 6 in 1 parka blaze orange $99 at wally world) not because its law but more so the fact that i wanna keep the same number of holes i came into this world with when i leave

but personaly same as seat belts and helmets i feel it is something that should be mandatory for minors but optional and recomended for adults (definition of adult being old enough to drink buy smokes and vote legaly)
but thats my personal feelings

I look like an orange tenis ball when I head out...you never know what ilk of hunter you may run into. I had one dickhead in a 1984 grey/black ford ext. cab truck shoot a buck that was between them (road hunting) and my hunting partner. After that shot, his buddy hops out of the truck, and tracks a doe DIRECTLY across where I was sitting. I had to jump up and wave my arms so the stupid prick didn't take a poke at the doe (and me). I started walking toward the truck, so they threw the buck in the back of the truck and vacated the area. I was hunting a few mile out of Hudson Bay, Sask.

I have a blaze orange game bag attached to the back of my outer layer jacket. Its handy for stuffing the birds into and it makes it easier for my partner to catch a glimpse of me while we work the bush.

I'd wear it, too, law or no law.

I don't think It should be mandatory. I think it should be YOUR choice on whether or not you want to wear it. Same goes for helmets and seatbelts. It should be your choice. If i choose to not where a seatbelt in MY car then it's none of your concern. Im not going to injure anyone else but myself by not wearing so F-Off. I wear a helmet on my motorcycle because it would be farely obvious if you didnt, But if I could I would not wear a helmet. I think you don't have to wear one in Manitoba but they may have changed. either way it should be up to the individual.

Ps. I don't where a seatbelt and I have been in 8 accidents, 3 of them were really bad and Im still alright so.......

I'm in Ontario where it is mandatory during big game seasons, but I would wear it anyway. I don't want to provide any opportunity for some trigger happy fool to shoot me because he swore he saw antlers coming out of my head. Also, I wear it when upland and small game hunting. It's just my personal choice.
